Master your breath, master your life.

Hello, I'm Christina, and I help people be in control of their physical and mental well-being through the breath.

I am a trauma-informed certified breathwork facilitator specializing in Transformation Breathwork, a unique method I’ve developed to provide deep relief and lasting calm. This approach helps individuals break free from the chains of trauma, grief, or anxiety, empowering them to lead a more fulfilling life by tuning into their body.

Everything moves through the body by the body
— Christina
  • Christina believes in the body's innate capacity for self-healing, with breath as a vital tool. She is a breathwork professional certified under psychologist Dr. Belisa Vranich and the head breathwork facilitator for the Casey Skudin 343 Fund. A turning point in her life was witnessing her mother's final breath, a reminder of life's fragility and the importance of self-healing. This traumatizing experience that cultivated intense grief led her on a journey of self-exploration by realizing that the breath is LIFE. The moment the breath stops, WE STOP on this earth, so we better value and use it. We are not meant to live feeling trapped, paralyzed, or hopeless. When we connect to our breath, we connect to LIFE. We learn to self-regulate, heal, and persevere. We get into the body and out of the mind, learning that everything we need to live, love and heal is already within us…

  • A native New Yorker, Christina is driven to heal and empower. Diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and ADHD, she is living her life without medication and appreciating all it has to offer!

Alongside her 12-year career as a speech-language pathologist, she pursued alternative healing certifications to help herself and others cope with grief, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She became a KRI certified Kundalini yoga instructor, achieved Reiki Level II certification, and earned the title of Certified Breathwork Facilitator under Dr. Belisa Vranich, a psychologist specializing in breathing techniques.

Now, she's an Active Life Professional candidate, pursuing her love for fitness and health. Christina's perspective on fitness has evolved, recognizing it as a tool to connect body and mind to get out of emotional and physical pain.

With a master's degree in Speech Pathology, Christina mentored graduate students, facilitated workshops, and published articles. Despite these achievements, she paused her career in the school system to pursue helping people on a deeper level.

It's a testament to our power to change our life's trajectory at any moment to overcome darkness and live life the way we are meant to.

Why Focus On Your Breath?

Our breath is the most underrated tool that we have to ditch anxiety and depression. It helps us keep our cool and improves our overall health. It regulates us out of that fight or flight response and empowers us to take control of our life. It’s easily accessible, yet most people breathe incorrectly and don’t consciously utilize it. All you need is your body, your lungs, and a little bit of motivation to become a happier and healthier person. PLUS it’s a FREE anti-anxiety and depression medication built within our systems.

You mean it’s not all woo-woo Hippy Dippy stuff?

What are the differences between the breathwork practices that you teach?

No, breathing is NOT all woo-woo. While you may experience a heightened connection on a spiritual level, breathing is science. Improving your breathing patterns are scientifically proven to enhance and improve your physical, mental, and emotional health. It also increases your endurance, athletic performance, ability to lose weight by improving your digestive health, and improves your heart health. The various breathing techniques that I teach will reduce anxiety, depression, stress, sleep issues, brain fog, back pain, memory loss, and fatigue.

Breathing Mechanics: Breathing mechanics involve the coordinated actions of muscles and structures in the respiratory system to inhale and exhale air. During inhalation, the diaphragm contracts, expanding the thoracic cavity and allowing air to enter the lungs. Exhalation involves relaxation of the diaphragm and intercostal muscles, causing the thoracic cavity to decrease in volume and air to be expelled from the lungs. These processes support oxygen exchange and maintain bodily function. I help you strengthen and use all of your breathing muscles so that you can build more resilience to stress and build up your lung capacity for every day activities and workouts!

Kundalini: Kundalini breathwork consists of specific breathing techniques and meditations from kundalini yoga. This involves controlled breathing patterns, breath retention, and specific breath ratios, which are believed to activate and balance the flow of prana (life force energy) within the body. These practices aim to increase vitality, balance the nervous system, enhance mental clarity, and promote spiritual growth and self-awareness.

Pranayama: Pranayama is the practice of breath control in yoga, where "prana" refers to life force energy and "ayama" means extension or expansion. Pranayama techniques involve various breathing exercises that regulate and manipulate the breath to influence the flow of prana in the body. These practices aim to harmonize the mind, body, and spirit, promoting physical well-being, mental clarity, and spiritual growth. Pranayama techniques may include controlling the length, pace, and pattern of inhalation, exhalation, and retention of breath, with different methods serving specific purposes such as relaxation, energizing the body, or balancing the nervous system.

Transformation Breathwork Experience: The Transformation Breathwork experience involves a specific breathing technique that aims to induce altered states of consciousness without the use of plant medicines or substances for healing and self-exploration. During an Active Release session, participants engage in rapid and deep breathing for an extended period, often accompanied by evocative music and minimal guidance from facilitators. The intense breathing is believed to activate the subconscious mind, releasing repressed emotions and facilitating deep psychological insights.group settings only
